Elliot Pinsel Elliot Pinsel concentrates his practice in defending clients accused of all types of criminal charges, from the most serious high profile multi-count criminal complaint to routine traffic matters. Each client is given the finest quality of legal representation coupled with a personal hands-on approach to their defense. Mr. Pinsel has extensive experience in trying jury trials, bench trials, and conducting juvenile proceedings.

After joining DLP, Mr. Pinsel began heading the firm’s Criminal Defense practice. He also serves, under contract, with the County of Lake as a Special Defense Counsel for juvenile cases. He is an experienced trial lawyer and appellate practitioner, having tried to verdict more than 700 cases to date.

Prior to joining DLP, Mr. Pinsel was a Senior Felony Trial Lawyer with the Lake Kent College of Law, J.D. County State’s Attorney’s Office. He has been highlighted numerous times in local and national newspapers and legal publications for handling high profile cases and for his charitable work for the disabled and less fortunate. For the past eight years, Mr. Pinsel has sponsored a gift drive to provide gifts and contributions to the Ann Kiley Center, Arden Shore, and the Winchester House.

Mr. Pinsel, throughout his career, has served as an adjunct professor at various area colleges and law schools, frequently teaching legal subjects, overseeing legal clinics, and lecturing on criminal, business, and family law.
