Geoffrey Wexler Geoffrey M. Wexler has been practicing criminal law for over 30 years. He has represented clients with every offense from murder to drug possession. Mr. Wexler has an extensive knowledge of the law and is a top-rated trial lawyer. He has worked in the Cook County Public Defender’s Murder Task Force as well as a Senior Trial Attorney in Felony Court, Felony Drug Court, Juvenile Court and Misdemeanor Court. He also represented defendants charged with Driving Under the Influence and Driving While License Revoked.

Currently, as a partner of DLP, Mr. Wexler serves as the Prosecutor for the City of Waukegan and the Villages of Antioch, Old Mill Creek, and Winthrop Harbor. His background as a criminal defense lawyer makes him an outstanding prosecutor. He is in constant contact with the police officers of the villages he prosecutes for, and he consistently provides them with information on how to better serve and protect their communities.

Geoffrey Wexler handles hundreds of DUI and criminal cases a year which has been acknowledged numerous times in newspapers. Being both a prosecutor and a defense lawyer gives Mr. Wexler a tremendous advantage over his opponents. He uses this advantage to see that his clients from an individual defendant to a municipality receive the best possible legal solution. Mr. Wexler has been recognized as a Top 100 National Criminal Defense Lawyer by The National Trial Lawyers Association.

Mr. Wexler has attended numerous trial advocacy seminars, including the prestigious Northwestern University course for criminal lawyers. He also has specialized training with the Illinois Secretary of State in areas of driver’s license suspension and revocation.

Mr. Wexler participated in the court’s educational program which allows school children to observe the judicial system in progress. As part of this program, he speaks at length with children about the court process and about the people who are part of the process.

Mr. Wexler is the partner in charge of the firm’s Real Estate Law division. He has many years of experience dealing with residential real estate transactions. He is a Title Agent and he works closely with his clients to ensure a smooth and successful closing of their properties.
